Bonjour, une mise à jour du serveur vidéo est prévue aujourd'hui. La plate-forme et le service d'encodage seront indisponibles tout au de la journée.
L'Université
Découverte de l'université, des campus, de l'organisation et de la stratégie universitaire.
Computers and creativity are thought to be incompatible. This talk aims to show that this is a misconception. It introduces foundational concepts of creative processes and presents two classes of computational process models of creativity, the first is based on direct modeling of processes and the second is based on situated cognition that produces emergent results. The talk describes and presents results from:
a genetic engineering approach to combination to produce new kinds of designs
a new class of interpolations that can result in improving on Pareto optimal designs
social cognitive behavior modeling of designers producing emergent results
connecting creativity with innovation.
Speaker
John Gero is Research Professor in Computer Science and Architecture at UNCC and Research Professor in the Krasnow Institute of Advanced Study and in Computational Social Science at GMU. He has been a Visiting Professor at MIT, CMU, UC-Berkeley, UCLA, Columbia University, Loughborough University, Strathclyde University, EPFL, University of Provence and INSA-Lyon. He is the author of 50 books and over 650 published research papers. website : http://mason.gmu.edu/~jgero/
