Across Europe, millions of children and adolescents face mental health difficulties, rising obesity rates and persistent health inequalities. YEAH! (Youth hEAlth from a Holistic perspective) is a European research and innovation project that aims to help young people adopt healthier lifestyles.
Coordinated by Université Grenoble Alpes and funded by the European Union under the Horizon Europe programme, YEAH! brings together 16 research institutions, organisations and healthcare centres. The consortium is developing a personalised digital intervention that addresses physical activity, sedentary behaviour, diet and sleep together. The project engages families, teachers, peers, health professionals and local communities, and it combines scientific evidence with co-creation alongside young people and stakeholders.
By the end of the project, more than 2,500 young people from at least 50 schools in 7 European countries will have benefited from the intervention. YEAH! will also rigorously assess its impact, its cost-effectiveness and its capacity to reduce health inequalities.
You can find more information about the project, its partners and its progress on the YEAH! website https://www.yeah-project.eu/
